Desktop Technician, CompuCom, September 2018 - May 2021
  • Assist end-users at a walk-up ‘Solution Center’ as well as through ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Provide remote support for users working from home.
  • One of two techs with storage access to meet users for local break/fix in the wake of Covid-19.
  • Perform hardware setup, deployment, break/fix, and software installation for users.

  • Closed down 2,000+ seat site in 4 weeks with no prior notice.

    • Shipped 15+ pallets to other sites.
    • Stocked and inventoried temporary storage off-site for local break/fix cases.
  • Assisted with the Covid-19 response throughout the company.
    • Expedited testing of new equipment coming into the environment.
    • Successfully moved 2,000+ users to work at home in the course of 2.5 weeks.
    • Configured hardware, verified user accounts, and assisted with equipment training of 400+ temporary work-at-home users.

  • Discovered and tested fix for ‘Group Policy Service’ error during company-wide WaaS upgrade to 1803 that was then deployed by the SCCM team.
